The artists we work with hold a special place in our hearts. They are, after all, the HEART of our business. We want to highlight their talents and give you a little insight into who they are.
MONTANA POTTERY
Our pottery is made by Dave & Jennie Lockie of Boz
eman, Montana. Not only are they incredibly talented but they have been a tremendous encouragement to us both professionally and personally. They are Big-hearted people from Big Sky Country!
They started their pottery business in the early 80's after a failed excavating business. But that discouraging time opened up another opportunity. Jennie had given him pottery lessons and what was designed to be a distraction from "everyday life" uncovered an exceptional talent in designing and making pottery.
He built his own kiln and invented a laser system to help keep sizes consistent. They operate out of a little log cabin outside of Bozeman.
When reflecting on the hard times when he lost his business in 1979, Dave said, "In the world we evaluate success by net worth, and according to the world's standards I had failed. Under God's standards, I myself didn't personally feel failure. That's what my faith gave to me."

He has a studio outside of his home in Pueblo, CO and does all the work himself.
RUSTIC JEWELRY CHARMS
Kara Docheff is the artist of our rusted charms. All of their "natural rusted" iron pendants are made at their rust farm in Colorado. They start
with cold-rolled iron (lead free) and then lay it out on their farm
to let nature create a beautiful "natural rust" finish. Kara explains, "Once we have achieved that beautiful finish we are striving for, we cut
our pendants here on the ranch. The pendants are then sealed three
times on each side with a water based acrylic sealer to stop
any further rusting and to protect anything the pendant comes in
contact with."
